I am proud to be able to say that my family on both sides for at least 6 generations are Cornish; many of them have been in business in Cornwall so I am pleased to be in the position of being able to carry on a family tradition.

I purchased Things in January 2003, and then disaster struck in August 2004 when we had the much publicised flood. After the flood the Council said the building was unsafe and had to be demolished. Watching this from the road above was really devastating.

It took many months to get the appropriate planning consent, but we eventually re-opened the shop on 8th April 2006.
